My last journal made mention of a serious health issue that I was gifted with. Shortly after I wrote it, I was readmitted to the hospital for 6 more days...This time in the ICU with pulmonary embolism.
I have had a rough Spring. Especially since I am not one to enjoy taking pharmaceuticals...and I have been on many of them, trying to recover from two separate life threatening conditions.
I am pleased to say that recovery is coming along nicely...although I do think that I need to get off the meds soon as they are affecting my liver and pancreas. Highly toxic, to say the least.
anyway, I just want to drop by and let you know that I am doing much better and plan to return to work the first of June. I have even begun riding my bike lately, which has been a lifesaver. Cabin fever has been difficult to deal with at times.
I haven't been very active with the camera, as you can see. I hope that will change once I get back to 'my life.' I did have two photographs in an art show at the University of Florida Law School back in April.
These past three months have offered me a chance to do some 'deep thinking.' In a lot of ways, I feel like a different person. When death comes knocking on your door, rattling chains, one tends to re-evaluate their life. The months ahead are going to be interesting. Transformation often comes when one faces death.
at any rate, I have been watching my dA friends. As always, your art inspires me and brings beauty, as well as creativity to my days.
Thank you! Thank you for the comments and support.
I hope to be more active in the near future.
Terry
